The term "That Tackle" should only be used to refer to the Gregan tackle on Wilson...;-)

Perhaps they are talking about it again because there is new footage that has been released by...err...Sky Sports. Which, according to the BBC, "...clearly show the Lions skipper being picked up and dumped to the ground during the opening seconds of the first Test against New Zealand."

And even the IRB says: "But now we have seen this footage - and we have also been monitoring the sport - we are of the opinion that dangerous tackles like this have no part in the game."

Given that he will still not be fit to face the ABs next month, perhaps he is entitled to be a bit pissed off at the whole thing?

The Gregan tackle still grates.

The British media especially the Irish media will use the o'driscoll tackle as a huge media beat up by the time the AB's set foot on Welsh soil. O'driscoll has been severely wronged, the lions would have won if the big threat to the AB's hadn't been taken out so early........ Good for selling papers and getting the fans up tight but that's about it.

It wasn't a tackle ffs!

It was a clean out. Massive difference.

I have lost alot of respect for O'Driscoll over this whole thing!

Agreed. That's what I thought this thread was about when I read the title.

Still a beat up to cover a 3-0 flogging.

They came thinking they could just boot their way to victory to be well and truly comprehensively outplayed in every facet of the game and never got around to admitting to it - there was always an excuse, this was the best one of the lot.

It was looked at, at both were aquitted of any wrong-doing. Thats that.

It seems to me this is all a bit of a publicity stunt to stay in the media for ol'Brian. They had a picture of him in the paper the week after he hurt his shoulder, and he was in a bar without a sling on, moving it fine lol.

HES SCAARRRREDD!!!!!
