A. I have to endure South Sydney Supporters getting in my face - Okay I can wear that (Just)
But sitting there and watrching how inept we are will not do.

Hook - the honeymoon is over - We are now out of the 8
Not that we don't deserved to be there : but: You know the drill.

Our contsant efforts are weak and unexceptable.

There is asterix on this seasons performance and you can't argue its amazing we've been in the 8 up till this point and there is still a chance. The clean up of players has begun and 2022 will be a true test.

Bird with second season and JDB will establish whether he has still got it. A few players will be given a chance. Losing Dufty and to an extent even Norman and Vaughan will test whether we can be a top 8 contending side or at the bottom.

I think its fair to say that Griffin should have all of 2022 and part of 2023 to figure it out

The only reason they are still in the 8 is not because of coaching its that its the weakest bottom 8 teams I have seen ..... top 6 teams are way ahead of the rest .....

In would suggest a bit of perspective on the side we trotted out last night. The error count was disappointing though. I'm perplexed that we cant at least fix that & the 6 agains ?

I totally agree. And now we can see that we reached our pinnacle of success several weeks ago and we are now on the typical Dragons second half of the competition downhill slide but hopefully with just a whiff of a possibility to just miss the 8. The bottom teams have been generally been like us, poor, but a couple of those are starting to realise that they can make the 8 like the Sharks, Titans and Knights and are playing much better than before while we have gone backwards with still hard teams to play.

The decisions not to renew Norman's and Dufty's contracts ages ago possibly might have had a bearing on the overall players attitudes, together with engaging players who, imo, are more reserve graders than firsts and getting them to play consistently well every week was just too much on top of the injuries, suspensions this year.

My opinion is that, while it will not do, we just don't have a good roster this year. It is as simple as that and we have new coaches two of whom have been out of coaching for several years with Peter Gentle as an assistant coach in about 5 different clubs and 5 games as head coach of the Broncos in 2020.

To me the club should bite the bullet and pay overs for a couple of elite players and if Griffin and Co cannot improve the winning percentages for most of next year, then "sayonara baby".

Why was Hunt kept on the field last when he appeared to be injured?
Perplexing.

Just maybe he wanted to stay out there to help.
If he'd have gone off you would imagine the media would get stuck into him saying he's a million dollar player, captain & he's the first to give up.
Kudos for staying on IMO.

Im warming to Hunt as our leader brother, but the decision to keep him on is a daft one.

whether or not Ben wanted to play on, he should have been dragged from the field. There was no reason for him to risk further injury.

If the game was in the balance, and we had a shot, then yeah I get it.

TBH the captain wants to be a leader and to do so by example especially in light of the recent appalling team behaviour.

If you want to have culture it takes special moments to invoke it and to his credit that is what Hunt is trying to do.

Taking him off would be the right thing under normal circumstances but if the season is only hanging on by a thread and you want to inspire the team to lift then his actions may be the trigger for that.

I have always been a harsh critic of Ben Hunt but i did say after the Mc Innes fiasco that Ben should be given the keys to the kingdom as it would make or break him and I have to say it has been more make than break and I for one am pleased for him.

Kudos to the captain

I get that mate. I do.

Like you, my previous posts suggests that Hook made him Captain to bring the best out of him.

I just think given the risk of further injury, leaving him out there ( whilst symbolically positive ), was a risk not needed.

Hunt is a true warrior and by far our best player, that is why he should have been pulled of the field straight away IMO.
Having said that, easy to make these comments from my lounge room with zero experience with sports injuries.
If he takes the field 100 percent fit against Raiders then no dramas, if he doesn’t however I think a few eyebrows will be raised?

5 games to go and we need to beat the Raiders and the Cowboys for sure and 1 of Roosters, Rabbits or Panthers to be any chance of making finals.

Not looking good, season over if we don't win this weekend.

I agree but the season won't be over insofar as the Dragons playing remaining competition games is concerned. They just won't be in the finals.

Some injuries don’t seem to bad at the time it occurs. Obviously he thought he was ok to play on without realising he had fractured it. f**k the bloke played with a broken leg for 70 mins earlier this year. It happens sometimes and it’s just shit luck
He looked very uncomfortable to me!!!
I mean, I’m no doctor but the holding of his arm and look of pain made me think perhaps we should take him off!!!
Am I nuts for thinking this?
FFS!!!!!
He was injured! Get the poor bloke off you muppets!!! What do these coaches do!!!?
Incompetent bunch of morons.
I’m talking about the coaches, yeah that’s right, the blokes that fail to get them defending, attacking, following instructions like don’t have a BBQ!!!!
Can’t even recognise when a bloke needs to come off injured. Muppets!!!
Over the whole season, not directed at you redv13.
