What a f**king joke that Abbott went after Slipper (pressing for criminal charges to oust him from his seat) for claiming cab charge when he went on a Hunter Valley plonk tour, and now the very same person is back peddling with his own false claims to a triathlon and a few weddings. Ironic that one of the weddings was Slipper's.

Anyone else watch "Redesign My Brain" on the ABC last night? Todd Sampson is a merkin, but the whole time I was watching it I couldn'thelp but think that I hope that the Eels coaching staff (or future coaching staff) were watching as well.

Anything that helps improve your peripheral vision and reaction times should be included into the training regimen, especially for the halves & hookers. Might be a bit out there for some, but I'd be all over it if I was on the coaching staff.

Just bought an investment property in Newtown. I had to beat off the young professionals and gays with a stick. Been looking for a while in and around Surry Hills and Newtown. Always loved those areas. Great place to make money.

You could have made a lot more money buying somewhere smarter. Newtown has had its boom. At this stage it represents a very safe (i.e. low yield) investment.

Credit is still very cheap but it's too hard to get for all the chumps that fuelled the last boom.

Unless the banks start making it easy again for morons to put themselves into hock for life I can't see another boom like the last one. Especially with unemployment set to rise.

Do you reckon people's capacity to pay will double in 10 or 15 years? 5% wage growth every year would be required to double wages in 15 years. If wages grow faster than that, then so does inflation, and therefore interest rates will be significantly higher. Tough call, as interest rates can't really get lower for any extended period. On your side is demand from overseas.
