Neither. I've just had a soft spot for the English ever since I was a kid watching Tommy Bishop, Roger Milward, Alan Hardesty, etc, etc. It's pretty much always been Parramatta and England for me.

Martin Offiah or Lee Oudenryn?

Tonga vs Scotland was on this AM

Fui played for Tonga in a star studded line up including Brent Kite, Sika Manu, Toupo from Roosters, Konrad Harral (sp) and that Fishini fullback.

Tonga had all the fire power in the first half, but no brains. Scotland had a nippy 1 & 6 and were allowed to offload. Scotland led 20-6 at half time.

Tonga pulled their fingers out in the 2nd half led by Fui, but the lead was too much and Tonga went down 26-24.

EDIT: Tonga scores on the bell. Video ref

No try. Scotland win 26-24.

Shame on you Tonga. Just shows again that you've got to turn up every game if you want to win.

Didn't watch the game but looking at the sides, the Scots had a pretty handy 7/9 in Wallace / Henderson which must have helped

Their 6 in Brough is their best player and was Man of Steel this year in the ESL. They certainly helped but the Scottish backline and some of their forward pack was made up of lower league players in England. Tonga should have wiped the floor with them but they had nowhere near as much heart as Scotland, plus the inexperience of the spine was shown up by the Scottish 1,6,7 & 9. Tonga were still really disappointing. So many times they had an opportunity to kick for Tupou but didn't. They were lucky Scotland let them back in in the second half.

USA d Cook Islands 32-20

Seffa Paulo controlled the game. Sideshow Bob did some good things (and bad).

Danny Howard played (did nothin)

Zeb Taia played for Cook Islands.

Highlight was the Ranga prop doing the harka for Cook Islands.

Actually I thought Isaac John looked pretty sharp for Cook Islands playing at half.

Sideshow's first touch was a swirling bomb in the wind that the fullback called as his, but Sideshow got in the way and it hit him square in the head for a classic falcon.

Highlight for me was USA halfback Craig Priestly. The guy had an awesome game. Kicked a great 40/20 to set up the first USA try and scored an awesome try himself off a Paulo bomb and running in undetected and getting the catch. Apparently he owns the Southampton Dragons who play in the american league.

Hayne just came out of a tackle still hobbling on his knee. God I hope this injury isnt going to carry into next year as well.
