I thought the objective of the national team was to make sure that our favourite parra player got lots of ball? Going to have to revisit my assumptions about how stuff works I think.
You don't really target a winger; you target one side of the field due to a weakness. If the only weakness is the winger then sure you can try and get at him but if you're just going to shift the ball sideways trying to get the ball to your own winger as quickly as possible, then the cover defence will be able to easily get across to help the winger out.
So you can't exploit a poor defensive winger (and are there really any good ones?) unless you create space against the defenders inside him.
Don't you know anything?!?!?
I get your subtle sarcasm (and bravo, sir!), but if Jarryd Hayne is not a better player than Darius Boyd, then...Well, I don't know how to finish that.
Oh I agree.....just ribbing a few people. Sometimes it's just luck too....depends which side of the field the opposition kick/run to on the previous set.
They targetted Grothe for his slow turn and get back.
They targetted The Beast and Uate with bombs.
you could say the same for GI, he is wasted in the centres and he is a better FB than Slater
I agree.
I almost wish Jarryd wasn't chosen for Australia so he could have played for the Bati and played to his potential, rather than catching a cold out on the wing.
i'm starting to suspect he was chosen for australia just to keep him out of the fiji side they dont seem to be doing much with him do they
Ken Sio didn't get a start for Samoa this AM. Is he even f**king there ?
BTW, PNG were so bad that Ben Roberts looked like Thurston.
I looked at Fui's stats. 14 runs for 166M, 34 tackles none missed, 1 penalty conceded and 1 error.
