1992, The MTV awards. The night where Nirvana had their famous fight with Guns n Roses. 4 magic performances that night ... by christ they were ALL GOLD !!

................

Chili Peppers - Give it Away (live in 1992) ... check out all the hot chicks on stage. If you also have a keen eye, check out Ice-T being the "bouncer" for the night. Enough GOLD to last a life-time in this. CRANK IT UP REALLY LOUD !!!

You have no idea HOW LONG ive searchd for the FULL version of this clip. I actually own all four songs tonight on video tape ... But i'd cvut off anything just to see this whole gig that night. Fast Forward to 2007 ......

the Black Crowes' Remedy that night just fit in perfect with the whole shebang of the 92 awards ... Grunge RULED, and it always will !!

Possibly my favourite of them all, Pearl Jam doing Jeremy LIVE at the same event. This proved how truly great they are. Or at least it proved why Dylan allowed Vedder to sing his Masters of War CLASSIC. Wow ... now thats a voice !!

But the King ... was Nirvana doing Lithium, just before their fight with the Gunners. Axel got his **** kicked lol ... Oh boy i miss the Grunge days

You already know my opinion of Nirvana although I agree still far, far better than the turd that comes out these days.

But the Black Crowes - f**k I love that band. So many great tunes. Shake Your Money Maker is one of the classic albums and Remedy is a superb song albeit off Southern Harmony.

Ironically, my favourite all-time Crowes track is off Amorica - High Head Blues.

By the way you should have mentioned the year - not sure exactly the date but a few years after 1992 would be my guess - when Roth and Van Halen finally got back on stage together during their brief but ill-fated reunion. The crowd goes berzerk, Roth grabs the mic and takes control during the speech, Eddie gets the sh*ts and they break up again!! hahaha

1996 Hevy, and the press conference was worth watching.

Eddie was only using Dave to 'spice up' the greatest hits album, it worked with 'me wise magic' and another song.

Yeah "Can't Get That Stuf No More" was the other track.

Me Wise Magic is a brilliant song by the way, great guitar work

I loved me wise magic, awesome. I also thought Human Beings with Hager as singer was another classic song, great riff and guitar solo.

Back to that press conference, it's worth reading Diamond Daves autobiography, he mentions quite abit about that night.

if you listen to some of roths high bits on "me wise magic" you can tell dave could handle some of sammy's material

He couldn't handle all of it though. No way Dave could sing Dreams for example.

That's taking nothing away from Dave - he's a legend - but Sammy is a freak.

In-fact, when I saw Sammy play at Selinas not long after he left Van Halen it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. Three hours and his voice was immaculate. It's the one and only time I've lost the plot and acted like a teenage girl at a concert! haha
