Don't know much about him, will have to deep dive into the Packers online communities to get more of a vibe, but he's been a quick riser, comes from an offence i think is well schemed up and perhaps most critically - is not Jim Bob Cooter or Matt Nagy, which was starting to worry me when those guys kept being mentioned in relation to the job

What is interesting to me now is if this guy is really good, and the offence takes off and goes back to being a top 5-10ish unit... how do you let him walk out of the building and keep Sirianni?
If he stinks, the entire offensive staff is getting fired and new regime comes in, so who cares.

In any event, im optimistic about this hire. Seems like to me they wanted Mike McDaniel or Brian Daboll, and when both of those experienced and well regarded play callers went elsewhere, they decided to take their time and do a thorough search... and this is the guy they ultimately landed on.

Maybe it works or maybe it doesnt, and it's not my first choice as a fan either... but i am ultimately happy with the end result.

It's somehwat underwhelming given other names that were out there but I'm sure they have done due diligience so we will see how it goes.

The issue for me is this has 1 year written all over it again, he either kills it and goes elsewhere or stinks it up and gets fired so Jalen will have yet another new OC in 2027.

Yeah that's the major draw back, if this offence takes off though and he establishes himself as the next really high level play caller, i really hope they promote him and give Sirianni the flick

Josh Grizzard has been hired as passing game coordinator.
I thought he was a little hard done by in TB, the offence did regress but it also had a ton of injuries

But his play calling wasnt terrible imo. Good insurance but more than anything, it says to me the Eagles are genuinely interested in overhauling it's offence. This is not just Mannion coming into do the Sirianni and Hurts offence, this is the Eagles bringing in new voices and fresh ideas to bring something new.
Im excited to see what it looks like

The offense is going to be driven by Mannion and Grizzard, with some assistance id imagine in the run game by Stoutland. Id at least keep AJ Brown into the team through the start of the season with this set up, i believe they can put together something he'll be happy with. If he's still sulking and carrying on next year, move him at the deadline.

This Eagles team is going to go through significant change in the next few years. Sounds like Fangio is a year to year proposition now, and now Jeff Stoutland leaving the eagles.

Huge blow, one of if not the best in the league... but as disappointing as it is, i am really excited that we're going to see a completely new offence. It might be good, it might be bad, but it's going to be different. And it needed to be

13 years is a long time to have a great coach like Stoutland, seems like he'll have options elsewhere but at 64 he's close to retirement. All good things must come to an end. Its a blow and im sad to see him leave but im excited to see what this offence looks like

If it doesnt work though, i think this is a clean house scenario next year... Sirianni, gone. Fangio into the sunset to retire. And we're into a new cycle of the team
