Don't know much about him, will have to deep dive into the Packers online communities to get more of a vibe, but he's been a quick riser, comes from an offence i think is well schemed up and perhaps most critically - is not Jim Bob Cooter or Matt Nagy, which was starting to worry me when those guys kept being mentioned in relation to the job
What is interesting to me now is if this guy is really good, and the offence takes off and goes back to being a top 5-10ish unit... how do you let him walk out of the building and keep Sirianni?
If he stinks, the entire offensive staff is getting fired and new regime comes in, so who cares.
In any event, im optimistic about this hire. Seems like to me they wanted Mike McDaniel or Brian Daboll, and when both of those experienced and well regarded play callers went elsewhere, they decided to take their time and do a thorough search... and this is the guy they ultimately landed on.
Maybe it works or maybe it doesnt, and it's not my first choice as a fan either... but i am ultimately happy with the end result.
