A gallant performance from Newtown over the weekend. A decimated bench in the second half didn't stop uis from remaining competitive/almost winning. It was a real heartbreaker. Our forwd did a lot of great work and I especially enjoyed Craig Field's try from the scrumbase. I think he saw that one 5 minutes earlier. WHAT VISION!!!

SIOELI HELU bombed a certain try. Another crucial moment.

The Jim Beam Cup team played OK. Considering ow much The Entrance have dominated the comp I thought a team of our stature did well to keep them under 50 points. Chan Ly was quite good and will have to remain so now that Simon Crotty is out for the year.

There was a good crowd. Thanks to everyone who turned up. I hope you're back for Norths.

I thought that both teams were very scrappy int he first half, neither side could hang onto the ball for 6 tackles. If only......
Overall, can't bag the team as everyman with a Blue Jersey had a real dig. They did me proud.
Highlight of the day has got to be Super Bilals Try, what an amazing effort!

See you all at Parra, with the Hornets Army!

Bilal Najjarin is a Newtown cult hero. A crowd favourite and an absolute joy to watch. Col Murphy has really turned this kid into something else. Along with Field and Leuluai, he is an early front runner for player of the year.

Yes it was a scrappy game but it was a fantastic contest. Therfore it was great to watch.

Why didn't the timekeeper signal full time after 78 minutes???

I also believe that the Newtown timekeeper is beyond reproach a real Eliott Ness type, honest and straight down the line. Ask Monique.

What make believe world are you living in Bluebag?

We all know Monique was with me the whole weekend... she's never heard of a bluebag. She now knows what a Hornet can deliver....

Ah yes the hornet I hear you are getting a new sign on the flag changing Rochedale to Oxford tavern hornet. She did say you had a little sting and I gave been counselling her all week to get over the disappointment from her 5 minutes with you.

Five minutes? I would have done it many times in five minutes with her... But there has been a new development........

Else from the Oxford Tav. and I have decided to make it offical that we are a couple. We've been sneaking around and it's not fair on Monique, who can now go out with the second string Jets fan.

I'm know that Monique is OK with this as she said "when you've had the best, now I can have the rest".

So funny, but dont you mean from the Oxford Tavern where you hang out. Monique was using you but what is it about you getting upset when she refused to attach 12 volt batteries to the electrodes on part of your body that you said you enjoyed.

Delusions of Grandeur but that is ok as it was not you she could not leave alone but it was you that ran off to the gents when you saw her.

How did you find out about the 12 volt electrodes? I mean, you and Monique were the ones who are big into that, I am just a new comer to that.

As for running away, I believe that it was Monique running from you.....
