Howlett is the only one I know of who might attract the moniker "highly rated"

Can't be Sandercock or Holdsworth surely?

Maybe we have one hiding.

Was Holdsworth playing for us when Barrett was?

Sandercock is the defensive coach according to the article. Flanno is leaving the dragons at the end of the year and is a "defensive coach".
If he is our defensive coach maybe that explains why our tackling is balls

Whilst this news isnt in the Mary/Stains category, I for one am stoked he's going.
As a defence coach he has been the most useless part of our staff in years.

Here's the article:

Trent Barrett has doubled-down on his commitment to the Bulldogs by acquiring the final member of his NRL coaching staff.

Despite suggestions by Phil Gould that he should reconsider his decision to take over Canterbury given the administration drama surrounding the club, Barrett has secured current Cronulla assistant coach Craig Sandercock as his key offsider at the Bulldogs on a three-year deal.

As has been widely reported, Newcastle assistant coach David Furner is also expected to link with Barrett and Sandercock at Belmore.

Furner had been in the running for the St George-Illawarra coaching position - a formal pitch which Barrett supported.

But with his family remaining in Sydney during his current assistant role at Newcastle, Furner is expected to make his decision to link with Canterbury formal in the coming days.

Sanderock and Barrett have a relationship having spent time together at Manly.

The current defensive coach at the Sharks under head coach John Morris, Sanderock is likely to switch his focus to attack at Canterbury.

Aside from his stints with Manly and Cronulla, Sandercock has also coached at Newcastle, the Wests Tigers and with Hull KR in the English Super League.

1. Craig Fitzgibbon - snowflake's chance in hell...
2. Shane Flanagan - would probably upset John Morris - as the media speculation would be relentless...
3. Stakey - he has some interesting ideas when it comes to recruitment - we'd just need to double the salary cap... [Note to Self - Ring Uncle Nick for tips...]

Bring back a former player Cameron Ciraldo there you go, not sure how Bomber would take it as would be threat to his job, but the guy can coach
