So Melbourne and Penrith will probably fight it out.

Barring inury, should that happen maybe Souths or Manly full strength, playing their very best.

Sydney City - to many injuried already and Parramatta a smokey.

So my question is name a team of players with none of the above, so you have the best of ten teams.

Could they challenge?

I will start

10. Payne Haas.

10 teams v 1....

How even is this?

Based on the teams named last week:

1. Ponga (Knights)
2. Holmes (Cowboys)
3. Staggs (Broncos)
4. Bird (Dragons)
5. Tuivasa-Sheck (Warriors)
6. Wighton (Raiders)
7. Johnson (Sharks)
8. Haas (Broncos)
9. Hodgson (Raiders)
10. Papalii (Raiders)
11. Frizell (Knights)
12. Fifita (Titans)
13. Taumalolo (Cowboys)

14. Peachey (Titans)
15. Saifiti (Knights)
16. Fa’asuamaleaui (Titans)
17. Rudolf (Sharks)

The halves are real tough... Wighton is probably the best 5/8th but is playing like absolute shit this year. Shaun Johnston can still play with ball in hand but defensively he's not great. That's who i went with

Other options in the halves Hunt? Pearce? Reece Walsh maybe? It's pretty grim stuff

I dont think that team would beat either Storm or Panthers. Think it could beat the others named though

Waste of time, but whatever gets you through ongoing lockdown.

We saw what happens with bastard sides during the 2005 ICC Super Series farce. A combined team of stars is no good against a very good established team.

This thread got me thinking the opposite.

A combined Storm/Penrith team would be ridiculous.

Just the hooker/bench utility left out of the seventeen would be a star.

Ben Czislowski would be disappointed in missing out 🤣

I could think of a few of our blokes who’d be disappointed in not making that side as well just quietly….

I'm guessing Luai misses out.

Yeah you'd think its Hynes/Pap - Munster - Cleary - Grant
In terms of a starting team, then it's pretty much the Storm's pack with Kikau, JFH, and maybe Yeo and the Panthers backs with JAC

Pap
JAC
Crichton
Burton
To'o
Munster
Cleary
JFH
Grant
Bromwich
Kikau
Kaufusi
Smith

Hynes
NAS
Capewell
Welch

Goodnight irene.

I'd swap B. Smith for Yeo
Api for Grant
And Martin for Capewell

Probably Luai for Munster too, he hasn't really been in form this year
