The Boys After the Game

i would just like to give the boys a wrap for their attitude towards the fans after last nights game.

about 50 or so fans hung around in the cold to see the boys before they jumped on the bus to go back to sydney.

i would also like to mention what jason moodie did for me. while having a chat and photo with him, keiran kerr jumped on the bus ( i dont think anyone else recognised him). i saw this and said " oh.. keiran on the bus already?"

i then went over to see halatau, and i saw moods jump back off the bus with keiran following. moodie came back over and pointed me out to keiran who came over for a chat and photo.

this kind of stuff is what keeps the supporters coming back.

while we, and the players, were very disappointed with the result and the refering, the boys were happy to stay with the fans for a chat, autographs and photos.

also, bryce gibbs is a legend. he told me, as did halatau, they want to be tigers for life and both are very happy being at the tigers.

gibbs and i were chatting like we were mates which i thought was awesome.

he didnt know anything about possible signings though.

anyway.. just thought id give some good news in this glum time for wests tigers supporters.

well done boys.

That story brought a smile to my face for the first time since last night.

If us fans are feeling bad about the past 3 weeks - the players must be feeling 10 times worse.

Halatau&Gibbs 4 Life !! I like that :D

If Bronson Harrison, Rob Farah and Simon Greally read this

You guys are f**king legends.....

We were the clowns with the tigers jerseys around our necks in the various clubs in canberra last night

Buying us shots at the bar and being very friendly in general

Good on ya boys, made our night, not that we remember to much

Yeah, that story just confirmed what I suspected as Halatau and Gibbs in particular give their all every time they play. Also being a Buckets critic, last night almost turned me seeing the effort he put in and holding up his Tigers emblem after scoring his try.I still have my doubts whether he can contribute enough to help us get to the top,but i`m now more than happy for him to atleast contribute and help our younger players along until the end of next year!Whilst giving wraps,i`d like to give a wrap to all the supporters who went down to Canberra.I couldn`t make it myself, but it`s great to see there is a core of supporters who are following the side through thick and thin. You are the people who deserve the team to become successful sooner than later!

talking about harrison, i was a bit disappointed that a few players seemed to have 'dodged' the supporters who waited for them.

it only occured to me when we were walking back to the car, and after the bus had left, that harrison, hodgson, payten and elford were no-where to be seen. well, not so much elford, as he was on the phone and walked away to have some privacy... i didnt seem him after that though.

where would they have been ?

Payten stayed the night in Canberra, saw him out at the night clubs with the Raiders players, i guess his ex-teamates reunion kind of thing.

Cause then there would be nothing to have a argument with you guys about on the forums! It's what a lil rivalry is all about. I know i'm hated around here though, rightfully so, but it's what league is all about, we can't be friends when our teams are against each other.

yeah, the fans you're talking about are the balmain tigers fans affiliated with the wests tigers. The cheering is done in first division.

If you were the bastard pointing down at us at the end of the match, I have very little respect for you. Winning isn't about bagging the losing supporters, especially not those who travel down, watch all three grades and cheer enthusiastically the whole match. All it shows is how poor you guys are at winning. We had a friendly rivalry going with the fans around us. acting like wankers after a victory is just poor form, not part of the game.
