Gee that was a good game. A very heavy Odsal pitch turned on an excellent game and i think the only thing that got Bradford home was a couple of key injuries to Hull's squad and a couple of rather dubious calls by Kirkpatrick.

i think the 18-12 scoreline flattered the bulls and when hull get back to full strength they will take some stopping.

There's no way that the referee in anyway helped The Bulls. Look at the forward pass that got Hull back into the game when they scored just before half-time. Also the disallowed Bulls try that was, in my opinion and many other people's, a perfectly legitimate try.

What lost the game was Shaun Briscoe knocking on twice in the last 5 minutes with the line at his mercy.

On another note, Iestyn Harris is looking very very good!

Also I would like to mention 2 players who are going to be massive players in SL. They are Matt Cook and Brett Ferres. Watch out for them!

I take it you are a Bulls fan??

They were very lucky to win last night, Hull squandered too many chances. Half of Bradford's side didnt look fit. It was the quietest game I've seen Stu have for ages.

As for Cook and Ferres, they wont be stars based on last night's performances. Cook has been the best thing since sliced bread for years. When is he going to produce the goods??

That was a better performance than I expected from Hull, given the squad they went in with and their previous two blowout scores at the hands of Bradford.

They'll be in the play-offs at the end of the year again, and a chance of some wins once they're there.

Didn't look fit?!! What game were atching watching? They might have looked a bit tired but they had been defending on their own line for most of the game. Give the Bulls credit, they had a couple of players pull out just before the KO. They had to move things around, which they did and they coped well.

Also, Fielden had a very solid game. He has set himself very high standards and when he's a bit below it gets noticed. He's still the best forward in the game and will be a few more years. No one comes close to him in SL.

Cook and ferres are both still young, 20 years old. Mark my words they will be big players in SL.

All I can say is I left a proud man.

We showed plenty of effort and committment and at long last Lupton gets some game time and we start to look lethal on the right. Horne for the first time this season didn't just pass the ball and tried to take on the defence.

Bradford for me were not anything exciting, 5 drives and a kick is all they had for the best part of the game. Granted though they took there chances well after we piggy backed them up the field through our own daft mistakes.

As for Briscoe and his chances well on another day he would have scored them, it just wasn't meant to be.

Hopefully when our wingers return to the squad and some of our forwards we can kick on from this. Forget Ferres and Cook , watch out for Wheeldon and Dixon who both stood up to there challenges well.

Thackery also owned the Bradford pack last night.

Either way I'd probably say bradford just deserved to win as there execution of things towards the line was better then Hull's (even if it means the only way you can score is by passing to Les from 2 yards out.) ;-)

Agreed.

Its finally a good sign for GB and Hull that we now have youngsters who we can call upon if we need to use them.
