So how come they get so many wrong every single game?

A. They're not in line at all.
B. They only get one look at it.
C. They're f**king idiots.

If you can rule on knock ons and offsides via video you can rule on forward passes too.

Maybe it's just you who is wrong?

Who'd have thought the bunker would continue to screw up obstruction calls - lol black and white eh boys.

The Gallen one was 50/50, technically he was running as a support runner who was dummied to. The Tedesco one, textbook definition of obstruction. Lawrence's responsibility is to avoid contact by stopping before the line or swerving through the line. He stopped in the line and stopped the defender. Appalling call. The bunker is just a bunch of turkeys working to a stop watch.

When you think about it, why would the bunker make a difference with regards to getting these decisions right? The bunker applies the same interpretations and process for ruling on these decisions as last year, so its not surprise really that we are getting a few dodgy calls; just because you have a few extra camera angles doesn't mean the logic (or there lack of) you apply to decision making will change. I personally believe that the main reason why the bunker was implemented was to speed up decisions and to ensure greater consistency and while it may have seemed to be working over the first few rounds, it has fallen by the wayside in the last couple of weeks.

Whilst there is humans involved in the decision making process, there will always be different interpretations and opinions on a decision.
There will still be "clangers".
Hopefully what the bunker will do is mean there are less of them.
Time to move on from wrong refereeing decisions people.
They have been part of the games since 1908.

I agree with this 100%. The biggest thing for me is speeding the game up to make the spectacle entertaining. I'm happy to live with the odd bad decision so long as the game moves on quickly.

Which is the problem. It just promotes players doing things like staying down / flapping their arms around and going slow in the hope the bunker has the time to look at and possibly change the call. There are any number of calls that are disputable in every game and this is just going to piss people off.

They used to overrule in general play with the video ref a few years ago and it was a disaster, no idea why they are trying that aspect again.

I can't recall another time this year the bunkers done it, your 100% right there a few years ago it was a disaster, players were staying down every time they were hit remotely high to milk a penalty.

No it's happened a few times this year. For the life of me I can't remember each instance but they have intervened many times this year

I thought this afternoons was the right call in the end, but agreed that they are pretty inconsistent with it's application

they seem to pick and chose when to do it

they either have to do it all the time or not at all

Agree, but all the time cannot possibly work, so they'll scrap it. Stupid call to re-introduce it.

I reckon they should delay announcing the result of rugby league games for a week or so until after the bunker and its crack team of technicians and analysts has had time to fully audit the the game and decide upon a scoreline that is justified by the rule book.
