Almost 30 years after their profound rocking debut EP Spiral Scratch, Madchester favourites Buzzcocks are back with the release of a brand new album Flat-Back Philosophy. As a part of the original punk scene of the late 70s and playing alongside other punk legends The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Siouxsie & The Banshees and The Damned, they still manage to influence and inspire bands today such as local lads The Hard-Ons.
With a break in the 80s and undertaking several differing projects, such as Steve Diggle's band Flag of Convenience and Pete Shelley's electro aspirations, Buzzcocks were back by 1989 and were ready to put out more successful albums and tour the globe.
Original members Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle are joined by their long standing bassist Tony Barber and new drummer Daniel Farrant. Checkout this incredible band as they tour aound Oz and if you've never heard of them before hire the documentary "Punk: Attitude" by Don Letts and be prepared to be blown away.
Flat-Back Philosphy is out now on Cooking Vinyl/Shock Records.
