I heard or read a journalist mention a week or so ago that if the Dogs
beat Manly they'd join Souths as the only team to win after the bye.
That got me curious, had a look at the draw to see which teams we faced through the year after a bye.
Surprise surprise....only three teams dont play a team coming off the bye.
Both grand finalists from last year ........and us.
Brisbane play FIVE different teams after they have the bye( in a seven week period starting straight after origin-Dragons, Knights, Manly, Warriors and us)
The Storm play four teams off the bye
Knights and Sharks three....
Manly, Warriors, Dragons and Raiders all twice
and Souths, Cowboys, Eels and Dogs once.
Wests, Penrith and Roosters miss out.
Just another case of bad luck for us I guess :roll: .
I think well find as the season goes on that most clubs dont do too well after the break.
At the moment its two losses and two wins in the games with teams that have had the bye, but its only early days.....dunno if theres any advantage there or not but either way were not gunna find out if we get any advantage from it, but for one club to have five goes at it and some to get none dont sit too well with me.
