Atherton have lost a lot of players from last years GF side. The entire forward pack has left for one reason or another. Bing Rockley has retired (to play reserve grade only) so the side was always going to struggle to compete this year. A lot of younger guys with little experienced players around them.
Could be a long cold winter for the Roosters.

Cairns have qualified for the Foley Shield grand final after a 26-20 win against Townsville in Ingham.

The U19s also won 34-26 and are also through to the decider.

The U17s lost and cannot make the final. The result there was 48-26

Cairns kicked Mackay's butt again in Foley Shield, and have won all four games in the A-Grade.

The Under 19s have also qualified for the Grand Final.

Mackay and Townsville now play each other twice before the Grand Final in Townsville in July.
