Most know that I am critical of Noddy, but in all honesty, that was mainly due to guilt by association.
Now that he has had the festering cyst removed, he has a few challenges, that I am eagerly awaiting to see if he can conquer. I think, if his attitude is right, he can.

1. Move on & accept, that Anderson will never be part of his career again, unless it is to save his career.
2. To play well under a coach other than Anderson. 6 games under Murray don't count, however, those matches were brilliant, & where I want to see him at.
3.To accept a more shared/reduced role at the Sharks. Quality not Quantity.
4. Accept the fact he cannot kick well nough for NRL standards & should leave it alone.
5. Accept that his other senior players are peers & not accessories.

C'mon Noddy, I will be cheering for ya big time!

Fair call Reefy. Noddy's shown that he is as tough as nails and I'm sure he will put in his all each week under Raper's coaching. From all the comment so far, it seems that he knew this was coming and had already decided to accept it.

Who will be our goalkicker though?

Noddy is a confidence kicker and, if the first goes through, he seems to be able to land them from everywhere, but miss that first one and...sheesh...he is very ordinary and I reckon my 11yo daughter could kick better. He is definitely not a top flight goalkicker.

Merritt?

Noddy is a true professional and I'm confident will be able to meet all challenges this year.

How much responsibility he has in the direction of the side will depend on the upincoming talent coming through. Will Sullivan continue to develop and improve his passing game? Can Aitken handle regular first grade this year and stay injury free. Will Dallalana break through to first grade level. What sort of hooker will we have? An extra forward or a more attacking type of player?

I am incouraged that Raper has stated he won't be making any drastic changes to the style of play that the Sharks currently play. I am also encouraged that he is seeking discussions from senior players (Especially Noddy) on ideas for any variations they would like to add to the current structure.

Hopefully Noddy can get on the same wave length as Raper.
