I find the continous call program on 2GB both very informative and entertaining. I love the songs that they play and all the jokes and mucking around. Ray Hadley is a great caller of the game. Well done Hadley, keep up the good work! You and the team will be greatly missed during the off season.

Yeah well that proves that some league fans have no brains at all. I find the continuous call the biggest load of repetitive crap ever heard on a radio station. Yeah they may rate, but they're not everybody's taste. Surly not people who want to be informed about the game. Notice how Ray doesn't speak to many players and coaches? Plenty will not have a bar of him.

If you want your rugby league on the radio to consist of repetitive unfunny songs, talk of wd40, the same old insults then good luck to you.

The ABC is good, but they don't stay on league for the whole time.

We need another alternative.

Basically, exclusive rights are a joke. They should sell rights if they want to, but to multiple stations. i.e. have ABC, 2UE, 2SM, 2GB all buy rights.

The more the merrier. It's all about promotinbg our great game on as many media outlets as possible. Hearing 2ue broadcast various yawnion and AFL games this year when they would've done the league really shits me.

Listening to Ray and his team is like listening to one of those fm stations like 2-day FM etc where they think they are all so funny. Their humour is so predictable. Rugby League programs are meant to be for discussing and calling the game. If you want to have a laugh then hire a comedy movie.
The ABC take footy seriously and are 5X more informative than 2GB. People say that Warren Ryan is boring to listen to...well at least he knows a fair bit about footy and doesn't act like a goose like the "leading RL writer for the daily telegraph" (Frilingos) does.
I think if we had more stations able to call games ( :evil: Damn NRL) then we would see how many people actually like Rays program. There's no competition. Listeners are basically forced to listen to 2GB because they are the only commercial broadcaster calling games.
