Wait for the catholic church to urge everyone to boycott it even though it is only fiction.

It should be great, but I don't think Tom Hanks was the right man for the role of Robert Langdon, when I was reading the book I got the image of him looking more like Harrison Ford (not suggesting it should have been him, that would be too weird, I just expected someone a bit more rugged looking). Though in saying that he is a great actor and he will probably pull it off fairly well.

Second I saw this I knew it would be Tom Hanks, this will be bloody hard to do properly and could be a shocker to sit through.

I didn't read at all but got told "if you only ever read one book....". I couldn't put it down.

Damn right about Audrey Toutou, she's fantastic (for some who don't know who she is, the lead actress in Amelie).

As far as Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon, he wouldn't be my first pick but I still reckon he'll do it well. Funnily enough I initially thought Harrison Ford aswell, but he's getting on a bit now, and it shouldn't be linked to Indiana Jones etc.

I would have gone with George Clooney

George Clooney?? No way man, Robert Langdon is an almost middle aged bookish scholar. Somewhat nerdy, George Clooney is the epitome of cool, and nonchalant. Complete opposites.

I'm not really a fan of Tom Hanks either mind you, personally I think Phillip Seymour Hoffman or Geoffery Rush would have been good.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is the possibility of an Axl N Roses song on the soundtrack...don't really count on it happening, though

I think people think harrison because of indy...especially that scene in the last crusade when all the girls are in the class stareing lovingly at him.

I didnt think tom hanks either but have no doubt that he will do the job.

Harrison Ford was the man I was picturing as well.

I think he was too old for the part.

If it's done half as well as "National Treasure", which is basically the Da Vinci Code put to an American theme, it should be pretty good.
