From the same SMH article…

Turbo dodges a bullet

Manly’s superstar fullback has been cleared of a serious injury. He was spotted in a knee brace after Saturday’s win against Canberra.

Trbojevic suffered a slight MCL strain and is a strong chance of playing against Newcastle on Thursday night. At worst, he will return the following week against the Titans.

Get excited when this thread is bumped, got me this time.

I really don’t see how this is a major drama, it’s a known competition so plan for it and stop with the dramatic reporting.

If the maximum crowd size is 11,000 and they have lost some viewing area for good, does that mean the development has actually lowered the grounds crowd capacity?

I was thinking about this the other day.

it’s hard to say what the max will be but it’s safe to say the days of 18-20k are gone.

What is impacted right now;

- North East beer hill is off limits
- North West next to ET is the chairman’s lounge so off limits
- South East hill has burger stands on it so off limits

Im not sure I’ve seen a “final” version of what the 2023 finished product looks like for the actual stadium.

If that's the case it may be worth getting rid of the Northern Family Hill and putting a two-three tier grandstand on it.

Are the plans that were released a few years ago even the current plans or direction they still want to go with?

They would have had to put a business case forward and it would have included some designs but maybe what they want or can get depends on how much money we get?
