it is with sadness that Richard Illingworths favourite not out man Don Voges is leaving Australian cricket. And to top it off, Xavier Doherty, the left arm genius who was going to take KP apart in the Ashes has also retired.

The depth of Australian cricket will be sorely tested. Great careers (admittedly, Voges was a very good domestic bat)

I doubt wouldn't have even played for Australia if they came through in the 90's and early 00's.
Voges would have been exposed with his inflated batting average to a rampant a Ambrose, Donald or Wasim. His batting average would have been 6 if he had to face one of those bowlers for a series.

Doherty could provide some decent darts in a limited over format.
