He was on the radio about half an hour ago and made some interesting points..

1] Jamie will not be released THIS YEAR!!!

2] Killer's family wants him to go back to Parra!!

3] He has made it clear at the so called meeting that he's only interested in playing for either Wee Waa or Parra.

4] The meeting sounded like it was a bit of an intervention, he also got to speak to his team mates about his FUTURE!!

5] He was asked by the club to have a week to think about his future.

Hope this clears a few things up.

Thanks for that buddy. Well from what's been said above I think that relieves the situation a little. Hopefully Jamie has a little time to think and can make the right decision for himself and the team.

Sorry if I offend, but of all the players who have threatened to quit Jamie seems the most immature.

I was interested to note while watching NRL on fox the since Gasnier wanted out and came back he is now working a part time job. I wonder if that would be an idea for Jamie. Might help break up the monotony of league day in/day out. Get him focused again, it seems to have done the trick for Gasnier.

Get him a job on the garbage truck. Plenty of running. Players in the "good old days" weren'y afraid to get their hands dirty.
The current mob of posers probably spend their time getting their hair dyed....and counting thier money. Wake up Prima donna.....Bloody sook.
Get back to the good old days of Barry Rushworth, Derek Hallas, Bil Roney, Grumpy Hambly, Thirsty Lynch, Ken Thornett....Blokes who loved their Club and supporters

I heard that interview but i thought it was quite unfair of Fitzgerald to not let him play for Wee Waa. Yeah he could get injured but it couldnt hurt to play for them for just a few weeks?????

Don't agree there. Fitgerald has to stand firm on the issue, show Jamie Lyon that he and the club have the upper hand in this situation. They can't just give in to Lyon just to be nice.

It's obvious that the club's strategy is that the less football Jamie plays the more he will miss it and want to come back and play for the Eels. Now i'm not saying that I agree or disagree with this approach but it's clear that the club doesn't want Jamie getting into a comfort zone back in Wee Waa. They are trying to give him an incentive to come back. If they allowed him to play for Wee Waa Jamie would basically have the best of both worlds - life in the country with his family & playing footy with his mates. Now they are forcing him to make a choice between life in the country & playing footy.

If I were Jamie i'd be strongly considering the following;

1. The average man lives for about 75 years. The average footballers career lasts for only 10 years, that's barely 14% of a mans life. Jamie can spend 10 years playing football and earn enough money to live very comfortably in the country for the remaining 86.67% of his life. Think about it son [-o<

2. Jamie can immediately retire from rep footy to shorten the length of the season for him and the amount of games he has to play each year. No need for end of season trips to UK, New Zealand etc so he can use this time to spend back home in Wee Waa. Think about it son [-o<

I don't think Jamie, known for chasing the odd pig, is one to be afraid of getting his hands dirty.

There are plenty of guys playing all kinds of professional sports that have come from the country but still find time to have the best of both worlds. I would have to agree that Jamie is definitely immature regarding this matter. I mean, how many pigs can you shoot!?
