I think Them Crooked Vultures may have been the best thing for the FF, as I think it may have made their sound alot heavier.... although every album they bring out, I'm pretty sure they declare it as their heaviest album yet.

Had to laugh at JJJ talking about Radiohead fans getting 'excited' about the new release. Radiohead fans dont get excited! They are much more drab and melodramatic than that

I must be the only one that thinks the whole thing is pretty average, not even remotely close to as good as their early stuff. Apparently adding some distortion to the vocals on many of the tracks adds a new dimension to their music.

With that said, there hasn't been a foo fighters song that I've liked in the last 6 or 7 years. Still a top band to go see live though.

I've sort of half listened to a few of the songs, and they nearly all start out with promise, but then descend back into that generic sound they've had for the past few albums. White Limo is the best of the songs I've heard so far.

Alot of then are 'heavier' in the fact of how Dave songs. In a few songs he tends to scream in parts and the music builds up alot to make it heavier too. Very good album imo
