Confused by you statement here

What cleanout are you suggesting

Administration, coaching staff other?
yes
Although the early results for the Bulldogs look good, they have def spent alot of money building squads at both levels.

Thats good the see.

It maybe a bit ambitious for Manly to field a NRLW team for say 2026 if they are applying for licence in 2025 when only just starting their female Rugby League program ?

I figure Souths/Bulldogs/Penrith are more advanced with their female Rugby League programs when the next EOI's for admission to the NRLW comp are called for by the NRL.

The Warriors will more than likely be re-admitted since the travel restriction etc are no longer in place

Not sure how the Storm/ Dolphins are going with their Female Rugby League programs.

One figures though that eventually it will be a 17 team comp and 18 when a 18th team is added to the NRL
This didnt seem to be a issue for Easts entry in 2018 as they had no local pathway in place

And still dont

Incorrect as they have a Tarsha Gale Cup Side (Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy) plus development squads - under 13's/15's/17's.

Plus a Central Coast Roosters side in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership side

They also have a Central Coast Roosters Academy on the Central Coast

The Roosters were the first team to have a pathway from TG to NRWL, they did in 2018,still have and for a while the only club. Keilee Joseph was the first female player to go through the pathway for any club

Effort., results and growth beat sitting there and whinging about symantics everytime.
The lower post here seems to be at cross purposes.

I read the top post as saying that Easts didn't allow their lack of local juniors to prevent them constructing an efficient pathway via other avenues. And that there's no reason why Manly shouldn't follow suit.

I think Keliee's younger sister Shaylee will follow suit

Roosters have brought Perinne Monsarrat over from Lescure. Bit disappointing that she won't be available for the England v France test in April. Suppose it's for the best. The French are also playing Serbia in March.

Tough assignment for any French player trying to make it in Oz. Lauréane Biville twice had to return home when she was at Brisbane Easts. First through injury, then because of Covid.

What is that Roosters Indigenous Academy side about, about two years ago my mates daughter was in the team and he said that there was lucky to be one aboriginal player in the team.

Knowing that side there was more than 1 so your mate is wrong - Indigenous is also Pacific Islander background players as well

The "indigenous" was never about the islander girls it was always about Australia's first nations.
The team started as an Indigenous side independently run, they then joined the Roosters in a partnership and it is now run entirely by the Roosters.. Over the last few years there have been comments the number of non-indigenous players. Many of the players were indigenous but not obviously so (apologies for the terminology).
I am not sure that the Indigenous tag will continue but the great unsung work that the Roosters do with their young players with first nation heritage and their community will continue. I see it first hand through schools, they just don't make a song and dance about it like their neighbouring club.

While its great to see the back to back TG premierships being celebrating its a bit sad to see the comments ignoring/putting down the previous years. The current success owes alot to the foundations built on previous years. They are getting it right due to lessons learnt.

There have been players selected for junior mens origin that went on to play for NZ. I wonder whether those players are eligible for both NZ and Australia
