It's faux-left.

As in espouse supposedly progressive values like gay marriage, but not if they have to get their hands dirty or lose tax breaks. And certainly nothing for the working class.

Think The Project, the ABC etc.

Read by Teal voters and 'swannies' supporters.

Weird post TBH. None of the the things you listed are anything like each other and the ABC has massive and broad range of coverage which varies greatly.

At a local level ABC has broad coverage. Not what it once was as it has been starved of funds for many years.

But covering national news they basically take conservative talking points.

The board is stacked with ex-news limited, coalition-aligned etc. Laura Tingle is mounting a campaign for a position for this very reason. To be objective journalism back to the organisation.

The 'attack on super' was carried daily by the ABC for example.

Not sure what else you take issue with as the rest of your post is just vague.

Most that it was a nothing post. The project for example is straight up garbage of the lowest order that couldn’t be any further from what the ABC produces. Some of the ABC does regurgitate things like that but there is plenty of good progressive content particularly on the radio. It’s just odd to try and paint it with such a broad brush though I guess that’s popular at the moment.

Again you're just being vague but whatever.

The Project is actually quite similar to say ABC Breakfast. National programs that don't delve very deep, take their talking points from conservative newspapers etc.

Other supposed flagship ABC programs like Q&A have become a joke, little better.

The main source of quality is the 4 Corners and Media Watch. Barely heard radio programs and podcasts are not national ABC sorry.

It is a far cry from the days of Andrew Olle et al. Those days are long gone. The ABC is a political plaything for their masters i.e usually the Coalition.

At the end of the day the Guardian doesn't cover Rugby League because one, they wouldn't have the resources; two, slagging off Rugby League gets more clicks and; three, they are not interested.

Much like the ABC programs Offsiders. or Charlie Pickering's The Weekly.

Watching the sky news reporter ask Gladys tough questions after her icac appearance in 2020 & then the ABC doing the opposite made me realize the organization is not what it once was. Get news elsewhere now

No coverage of the season today. A union/afl shit fest as best as I can tell. Avoid.
The Guardian is no friend of blue collars workers. Its aimed at Champagne socialists rugger fans as union is often called by some of their journos, not people who get their hands dirty doing a honest days toil.
