As someone who grew up in the 90's in the Bankstown area, when Souths were a joke and the Bulldogs dominating, then the Super League War, then our exclusion, then our fightback and re-admission, then falling into old ways, being a joke again and almost folding, to the privatisation vote and the insanity around of all that, then making the finals for the first time in 18 years, then a premiership after 43 years.....

To see us now as a club who are not laughed at, but perennially a final four side and openly disdained in the Rugby League discourse.... f**k me I love it. We are one of the big boys. It warms the heart.

dragons and manly could’ve done the same as Cronulla or Penrith and they would’ve been better in the long run

I don't like Roosters or Souths but I don't really see an issue with the Wighton deal or the Cheese deal tbh.

Agree with all this and I’m absolutely sure it was an accident on your part with the omission (you must’ve been in a hurry and all that) but it’s worth mentioning that Easts along with Manly, we’re the first and only Sydney clubs targeted by SL early on but we’re turned down. Given Arko’s position, Manly wasn’t a surprise but Easts… You’re welcome.

There is no problem with either but the entertainment value with simple Jack is way higher for a couple of reasons.

First, we have souths fans going full roosters with their defence of this. We at least recognise who we are, souths fans will never do that because they legit think they follow a battling people's club.

Second, Cheese didn't leave the storm because he doesn't think they can win a comp, he was behind Grant. Sure, he chose us over dolphins for that reason but at least he didn't essentially tell his current team that they suck.

It appears his team mates are too stupid to see the truth too because Hudson young was on the radio this morning and said it was a "family decision" because taking significantly less money than your current employer is offering is definitely best for your family lol. He actually said that without a hint of sarcasm.
