And just for the HERP DERP, BAD MANAGEMENT crew, this is the Knights board:

http://www.newcastleknights.com.au/news/2014/11/08/nrl_announce_knights_board.html

Put your thoughts on Matt Gidley to one side - these are the people who matter. There wouldn't be a more impressive collection of business people to form a club board in the NRL.

And so far, they can't get these national sponsors, can't get these TPAs. Can't stop our crowd numbers falling and can't sign talent.

Because they can't harness the economic advantages driven home by some clubs. And, as the NRL are in the room, they can't cheat like others.

Because they are business people, not magicians.

But continue pissing on about matters of which you know not, people.

I've read that mate and it's a nice piece of fluff and excuse making

The Cowboys won the comp last year mate. Do you really think they have millions tied up in TPAs?

They have built a strong team, I emphasise team, around a big name player. Most of their side they have nurtured from lower grades and jnrs. They've built a culture where guys like Coote take unders to stay

How is Newcastle that much different from Tville? The Cowboys struggled for years even with JT yet they have made it.

Ever considered your clubs board is playing by the rules Crusader?

Why so sure? They have let a hell of a number of teams go down in the past. A few more spoons in a row and who knows what sort of state we will be in.

Because the inevitable cries from the Knights Nannas and Gus alone would be enough for the NRL to know shafting the Knights wouldn't be worth the drama.

If that isn't enough reason for you then the area is too important. If there isn't an NRL club there picking up and developing kids then other codes will.

Don't agree mate.

Firstly, our local clubs are strong, and secondly other NRL clubs can and do recruit from our area. The game as a whole wouldn't die here at all.

Secondly, you have hit on a point as to why it isn't impossible that we lose the club - our supporter base, by and large, is old.

It is this kind of "she'll be right" thinking that means we don't actually do anything to improve our situation - that makes us vulnerable.
