Sharks Update

Can Kimmorley play against the Knights?
Sharks star halfback Brett Kimmorley is doing everything possible in a race against the clock to be fit for Sunday's match with the Newcastle Knights at Energy Australian Stadium.

Kimmorley is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a hamstring strain and was rating himself as an outside chance of being ready to play this weekend. At this stage Jason Kent has been selected as the Sharks halfback in what will be his debut in that position in the top grade.

An excellent defender, Kent has impressed his teammates with his ball skills in training sessions this week leading up to Sunday's important clash.

Fullback David Peachey, still battling a quadriceps problem, is also a doubtful starter for Sunday's match. Should he fail to take his place in the team Nathan Merritt will come back into the Sharks side with David Simmons going from the wing to fullback.

The Sharks v Knights NRL contest kicks off at 2.30pm and will be shown live on Fox Sports. The Premier League Sharks also take on the Knights that match getting underway at 12.30pm, while Jersey Flegg will begin at 10.50am.

Doesnt sound good about Peach, but it does sound a bit better about Kimmorley..
Hopefully they can both play..
If they both dont play, i cant see us having any chance in winning the match..
