Well.....taking nothing away from the Roosters, who were very good today, a loss now should serve to re-focus them for a charge toward the finals.
As I 've said before, the loss to the Dragons kick started a run of good form. Perhaps today's loss could be just what they need.
As far as today's game is concerened, that was the Roosters that held the Storm scoreless for 75mins and beat the Warriors in the wet in NZ. When they put it together, like they they did today, they are tough to beat.
Anyway, I thought Manly were too loose today. They seemed to take the attitude..."well, perhaps it's not our day, so lets toss the ball around and see if we get a bit lucky". Even at 28-12 with 20mins to go they needed to control the ball and build pressure. A try then could have tested the Roosters resolve. Although, unlike the last couple of weeks, the Roosters held their nerve and kept us scoreless, plus scored one themselves.
So...that's that. We all move on. Panthers at Brookvale next Friday night.
