Now that the great Darius Boyd has gone to the big pokies room in the sky, which of the current crop of NRL players will step up and fill the void as the League Unlimited whipping boy?

Throw your nominations in.

I think it would be fair to say that Ben Creagh was the previous one - I actually feel bad about it now because he is such a nice guy.

There will never be another Darius, though.

It has to be Gagai, right?

Inexplicably plays plenty of rep footy. Plays like utter garbage for his club. Somehow rated by all commentators. Even celebrates like a f**king pork chop any time he pulls off even the most basic of catch and put down tries.

Corey Norman & Ben Hunt cop the brunt of the dragons fan fire. Could be likely to succeed here in the basis many think they are under performers.

Moses, Gutherson, Brown have a general dislike from the public and get bagged at every opportunity.. could be any of these...

Valentine Holmes could be a roughie..

Ponga and Cherry Daly-Evans are widely loathed but are actually very good players.

But the undoubted king of kings, who gets more grief on LU than 13 Darius Boyd’s..

Cameron Smith.

Another championship to add to his absolute Alladdin’s cave of trophies. No player has had more threads of disdain added to the LU forums than Smith. He’s an immortal in this regard, Boyd never came near him. Even though he’s widely regarded as one of the best players of all time.

Given Fox Sport’s hiring policy, I think Darius has Anasta-like post career punching bag potential. Other than that, I think Mitchell Moses is in for heavy attention if Eels season goes the way we expect it to go.
