I'm staying well out of this but I do want to know:

I said he is potential. Nothing more, nothing less.

And yes, a player who sits in midfield at a club like Man Utd who play an attacking style of football should have at least a few goals and many more assists than he does. The reason he doesn't is because he doesn't play many threatening balls, from what I've seen.

Nani: Lots of assists, a decent amount of goals (for a winger who has only played a bit part), but he's crap.

Anderson: No goals, maybe one or two assists, but has completely changed games with his movement, pace and passing, not to mention the way the completely masked the fact we were without our most influential midfielder for most of the season, but he's also crap (sorry, "potential", but you don't rate his season).

Sorry mate, I think you're a good poster but you're being a hypocrite here. You dismiss Anderson's season because he has bad stats, then dismiss Nani's career even though he has great ones.

Nani doesn't have a brain, IMO of course. He does have a couple of assists and a few goals, but I'd argue thats also due to the team around him. If you were looking at Portugese wingers, I would rate the likes of Simao and Quaresma ahead of him.

I think Anderson has the potential to become a very good player, but right now he isn't doing enough creative wise to receive any huge plaudits. That's all I am saying.

14 assists isn't a couple. You wouldn argue that it is due to the team around him because you haven't seen many games. He has a fantastic cross on him. Probably the best in our team.

Rumour has it that Barca have pulled out of the race for Philipp Lahm in favour of Dani Alves and we're leading the race to sign him. He's definitely leaving Bayern and looked Barca bound but they have changed their mind.

Only a rumour but I hope it's true, we'd have (IMO) the two best fullbacks in the world if we got him.

Lahm has played on the right for Bayern a few times with Jansen on the left.
