I wasn't expecting anything more than the guys having a dig. A bunch of home wins straight for the Green Slimes against a team that hasn't won a game away since whenever.

I've seen enough heart in the last two weeks to convince me he might turn it around with better players next year. The Raiders side was at least twice as good as us and we were right in the game. With the side we have I don't mind if we lose as long as we have some heart and pride and not give up like we have in the multiple 40+ hammerings this year.

In saying that though I saw the same heart in 2011 that disappeared in 2012.

By the same token (and I'm not a Ricky knocker), if part of the apparent reason that we won the wooden spoon was that our coach was terrible, it's not surprising that people expect to see some signs of improvement (not necessarily the win/loss) if RS is a notably superior coach. Arriving at the joint and then saying how surprised you are at the state of the roster isn't the best way to start. It isn't obvious that our structure or style of play has improved (or even changed that much). So I can fully understand why questions are being asked.....they are fair enough questions.

im still however going to bite my tongue and give sticky enough time to actually put a squad together that he wants and wait until late 2014, early 2015 before i start calling for his sacking.

Well, sort of, Tanginoa, Junior Paulo, Alvaro, Masinamua would make a much bigger pack, but they're all either out or playing NRL .

Good effort by the boys - still some silly mistakes but it was wet.

Gee the refs give us nothing in the ruck - we get penalised at 3-4 times a game for being to slow but struggle to get any penalties . On three occasions raiders were given a massive benefit by not giving a penalty away when we would have got penalised with the same effort

- mannah is held on several occasions , tries for fairly quick play the ball but raiders are able to hold on as he gets up
- on one occasion fui was call held then one second later he is tackled around the legs but no penalty .

I can see why Stuart gets frustrated.

Interesting stat for the game raiders made about 1500 metres and had the ball for 58% we made about 1050 and had the ball for 42%. So raiders should have scored a few more tries you would think - is this an indication our defence is slowly getting better?

Penalties 8 to 3 to raiders. Errors 13 to eels 12 to eels - pretty low for a very wet game

Also a better origin record than whitewash Bellamy. People tend to forget that though.
