The 's' of sharp, John Sharp that is.

8/8 now, the black and whites march on.

It all seems so easy, they are getting to top and when they do they will be ''looking down on creation'', eh lowey?

Who can stop them?

Peter Sharp... way to botch your big victory post, you don't even know the coach's name.

He certainly does ECT.

I know they can be slow in Loser City and we beat Saints a month or so back and he had me confused for a second as to why it was being mentioned now.

Great game, Hull look worthy title contenders on that form. Have a fearsome pack which at times was knocking our equally powerful front row all over the place. Similar to Saints in defensive tactics as they rush up to the line and hit hard, not allowing us to get up the field at all. Hull found good yards with players like Carvell and Dowes on top form, and all topped off with a fantastic all round display from Paul Cooke, fantastic kicking game allowed Hull to dominate field position at times.

Not too downhearted, doubt we'll face much tougher opposition than we did last night.

Absolutely buzzing, Peter Sharp is god and Paul Cooke is the best loose forward in super league at the moment. Was very nervous earlier on when I saw we had included Lee, Wheeldon and Washbrook, I think there great talents but at the time I thought we needed more expierence. Either way they did themselves proud, especially Danny Washbrook who had only made 3 10 minute appearances off the bench before Peter Sharp arrived. Washbrook has featured in the last 5 games and the kid is really grabbing the chance with both hands. The passion our side have is unbelieveble and some of the best tackle's I've ever seen was on show last night from both sides.

What a party in the stands from the FC fans, gutted I couldnt make it due to work. Missed two games all season and absoluteley gutted this was one victory I missed (considering I've left Knowsley Road after a 70 + hammering before today).

John Sharp should march on too,but that has nothing to do with this thread.

Well done to Hull, they are on fire at the moment.

Don't matter though, he always controls the left side of the field. Loose Forward / Standoff seems to be the same thing in SL now a days.

Whats exciting me is that Horne is hitting some top form too.

It was a good game and Hull did well. They look a very well drilled outfit and their pack did win the battle pretty well.

I'm going to be controversial and say they are not obvious title contenders though. They didn't seem to have any penetration and minus a bit of genius from Swain relied on either excessive pressure near the line or lucky, unplanned kicks to score.

It certainly wasn't a Hull performance that made me think they will do much in the play offs and it wasn't anywhere near the level of their CC semi final win last season.

I think, like Huddersfield, they have a lot of players who are absolute work horses and they simply outfought Saints. They say comfort makes you fat, and I think you can apply that to Saints. Sitting top and with the CC looming ahead, there was nothing like the desperation in defense that there could have been. I also think the long spells on the sidelines for Cunningham and Cayless in particular contributed to the lack of power displayed by the pack.

I think we may see a few more sub-par performances from Saints over the coming weeks. I think the semi final draw in particular hasn't helped one bit as the players are already dreaming of the final and rather losing sight of the importance of the league fixtures.

Absolutely superb game, Hull were the toughest side I've clapped eyes on this season, their defence was brutal.

Saints were a bit hit and miss in attack (especially when Cunningham went off) and we lost to the better side, no question.

Very impressed with Hull, if they can perform at that intensity at play-off time they will take some stopping.

TBH mate I've never read so much sh*te (I'd agree though that last years semi performance was better).

Saints never played below par, you could easily have had 50 at HT had it not been for our defence. We didn't get as much field position as we liked but we proved that if we are given the ball in your half we would score points. All our trys were well worked too, the only one which may have had luck was Cookes (first to react en all).

Think your right about Cunningham, Saints lost a bit of go forward when he left the field but I thought Fozzard was your best prop.

The performance, well it was a Hull performance that showed we can beat anyone at anywhere. Definetley one that gives me high hopes of a good play off campaign.

I just hope that when Saints lose this year where not going to hear "Saints under played" because they clearly didn't.
