He's no f**king fullback, that's clear as day to everyone except Sheens.
He's as much of a fullback as John Sutton is a five-eighth.
That appears correct, but a much better five-eighth than John Sutton i`ll give you the tip.
Yeah well he will never play five-eighth here.
I honestly can't see a spot for him in a fully fit side, and throwing him into a key position like fullback because "he is too good to leave out so he has to play somewhere" is absolute garbage.
How about Mullaney? They say he's small but so is Nathan gardener...Matt Bowen...Preston Campbell (not that I'm saying he's in their class yet) but if it is all about size then Hodgo wouldn't have gotten a run
Totally agree, state cup for Moltzen, and Sheens you are still the most stubborn idiotic coach I have seen, they say the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result(Moltzen at 1).I posted this last week:
This Moltzen love fest is really starting to sh*t me. He is going to end up a very good player, but the way some people go on about him it is like he is Peter Sterling and Andrew Johns rolled into one.
He isn't a fullbacks arsehole. He can't tackle, he is scared of contact and his defensive positioning at the back is absolutely f**king hopeless. Sometimes I wonder what people watch - Moltzen was largely TERRIBLE at fullback when he played there, and his kick returns were embarrassing.
Anyone who thinks he is a better fullback than McKinnon is on drugs. McKinnon may not have much pace these days but he is a natural fullback and IMO he has played VERY well this season and has copped much unnecessary criticism. He is a great support player who is always sniffing around the ruck for offloads, which Moltzen does not. He made over 200 metres against the Roosters and was our best player that day and still straight after that game there were people calling for an underdone Moltzen to play fullback, unbelievable.
And if McKinnon was to ever get dropped or injured, then Mitch Brown should be fullback, not Moltzen.
I like Jake Mullaney and i`d love to see him be given a go. My concerns are that he`s also a little suspect under the high ball and he hasn`t yet been dominating State League games like I thought he would be.
On the plus side he`s got massive talent, he`s young and he`s a good learner. I can`t see the harm in giving him a shot in the top grade even next week.
