The most over rated halfback in the NRL.

Surely has to be Scott Prince.

He is woeful.
Can't tackle, rarely runs at the line, puts in a few kicks every now and then.
One thing he is very good at though is having a massive sook to the ref's.

I can think of one maybe 2 halfbacks who are just as bad, but they aren't regarded as highly as what Prince is by the media.

The Titans will do nothing with this hack running the show for them, based on what I've seen so far this year.

Capewell probably shouldn't be playing at 6.
In Capewell's defence though, he at least has a go when his side is defending.
The sight of Prince just letting Proctor waltz through, when Cronk scored is one I'll never forget.
Then he had the hide to turn around when Cronk scored, and look at his team mates as if to say who missed that tackle.

.

didn't watch the storm game but he was awful against the saints in the first round.

if he spent more time concentrating on what he should be doing instead of whining to the refs he might lift his game to below average instead of the complete crap he offers now.

it was bird that let proctor waltz through. he got hooked for his effort right after.

agree on prince looking a bit tired and slow though

In my opinion its Chris Sandow.

Wasn't there a leading coach, who last year said he could play state of origin.

It was Prince's fault with the Proctor thing.

Unless he is carrying an injury, Prince has really been disappointing to say the least. It's like he isn't even having a go.

Chris Sandow is the most overrated halfback in the NRL and could contend for the game's most overrated given some compared him to a young Allan Langer for crying out loud!

Scott Prince is struggling in a struggling Gold Coast side. It's an easy formula to apply to the Gold Coast Titans - shut down Prince, shut down the team. Minus Friend (injured) and Rogers (retired), Prince is going to touch the ball a ridiculous amount of times over 80 minutes and their play becomes predictable. Prince isn't overrated, he is struggling easrly in the season. He won't be the first, he won't be the last great player to suffer this fate. At his best, there aren't many better halves in the competition.

He was not evewn watching when Slater picked up the ball and ran past him down a skinny blindside to score either.

HIm and Capewell are ordinary. There forwards are getting on. Presto is getting on. They are spoon material the Gold Coast. Good value for it. Not morals but very good value for it.

Agree Southern Rooster. I look at the team list and there is no one coming in to the side that tells me they are going to turn around their attacking options outside of Prince which is their big problem in 2011.

I'd like to know how Greg Bird is escaping criticism? I watched the replay of this game this morning and he was woeful. Cartwright even benched him. If Prince is to come under attack, the Australian rep deserves equal critique as he looks to be going through the motions out there.

Princey would be a walk up start for the blues, a walk up start.

The most overrated halfback in the NRL is Pearce. Absolute garbage player that I look forward to getting exposed by QLD again this year. It just shows how the media can influence all you dumb bastards. You are all f**king sheep.

I have to agree.

If your Captain refuses to even get dirty, what sort of attitude does that instil on others.
Gordon and Mead have no chance of even seeing the ball as teams just slide across while Princess cuts off 30 meters of the field with dummies.

Nobody deserves a 5 year deal, i don't care who they are

I would take Scott Prince in our team any day of the week. Awesome player.

Everyone is entitled to a poor game every now and then. Especially when he turns in a brilliant one most weeks.

How quickly they turn

Scott Prince after two rounds is struggling though is it all down to Prince? Well yes and no. He is the leader of the team (has JC got rid of the co-captain bs?) and should lead by example granted. Though what I saw was a team who despite their average age being a lot higher than most teams lack any direction. Again, that falls under Prince's job description, though where was Mr Untouchable Preston Campbell? Where was Greg Bird? Where was Ashley Harrison? Luke Bailey? We are talking representative calibre players who stood back waiting on Prince to produce. They should be able to recognise that their opponents were keying in on Prince and stepped up to help out a little more than they did.

Now that leads me to a guy who whilst obviously a talented coach, has proven in the past he does lack a Plan B. What I mean is, JC coached teams have Plan A and when that is thwarted, it becomes ablib rugby league. Thats all well and good if you have the players to do that, but the Titans do not and they need a structured game plan to remain effective.

I fear the Titans have gone in to the season banking on this Capewell kid to be an effective partner to Prince in the halves and it's going to blow right up in their faces. He is horrible. JC got this wrong as he has before when recruiting players for this team. I am not sold on Capewell and he will be a QLD Cup player sooner rather than later.

Cartwright and the other rep calibre players should not be excused from ANY critique that is being directed at Prince. Prince shouldn't be excused either though pinning it all on their star halfback is an convenient/easy answer to a more complex problem at the Titans HQ.

Ask anyone who played at the Wests Tigers in 2005 what they think of Scott Prince as a halfback.

I just think when his team is behind on the scoreboard he has a tendency to throw the toys out of the cot a bit. Having said that he has shown in the past that he can influence the odd momentum-turning penalty in his favour, as well as slowing play when it's needed.

Up until last season, see the Wests Tigers record minus Scott Prince as opposed to what he has done with Titans. Game-set-match Scott Prince.
