V Brisbane away.
V Canberra away.
V Penrith home.
This will sort us out.
If we win 2 of these games I think we'll make the 8.
If we dont. Theres always next year.

I think at least one victory is necessary, that would give us 7-8 record with a reasonable run home that includes a couple of byes.

All these games could go either way.

We could not have met Brisbane at a better time in the middle of SOO and with the injuries they currently have but Brisbane are Brisbane they will always turn up.

Canberra will be tough down there especially if Noddy gets chosen for NSW. This is the game i am most worried about as we are also probably expected to win.

The same applies to Penrith as does to Brisbane. They will have alot of players backing up from SOO as well as Gowers injury. Couldnt be a better time to meet them.

It will go a long way to getting us into the 8 if we win 2 out of the 3 games. I think that should be our aim. 3 would be lovely but it is a tough run.

Mate as I understand it, Lockyer, Berrigan and Webcke will be returning for the match against us. :?
And if we give them a 20-40 min head start, they will be harder to chase down than a depleted Souths outfit.
That said, should be a real gauge of where we are at.

sorry, but a cliche just has to be used here.
If we lose the first one, badly, then it coyld effect many things down the line.

so, 1 game at a time for while here.
Throw in the bye, well, I don't really think the team needs a bye. Quite the opposite. How will that effect the run afterwards?

Winning two in a row and finishing Souths off in the 2nd half will help the boys with confidence. A few of our off season buys are really finding their feet in McGoldrick and Lomu. Nuts will go all out to try and impress QLD selectors for a chance in Game 2. Noddy will try and fire against a number of the QLD team. The boys are a chance.

Could go either way. Could go close or we could cop a flogging. You never know with Brisbane.

Thanks for that angry. I was under the impression that Lockyer is still struggling to be fit for Origin 2. I was unclear on Berrigans situation. This game will be even tougher then i first thought then. Like you said we cant afford to give them a start like we did Souths.

Anyone from up QLD way have any reports on Tallis with his neck injury, it could not have been too bad since he kept playing on Friday night.

Yeah, Gordie's neck problem is muscular and he is expect to named also - according to the Sunday Mail up here
So basically they will be at full strength, minus Seymour, but McGuire has played well.
I suppose I am happy in a way, a real test for us at this stage, if we can knock over a full strength Broncos outfit at home, the boys will get some confidence.
Although the flip side is like BTR said, could be real bad if they give us a touch up.

Either way I will be there, Yaaaa!!!! I get to see my team :D

We wont have it easy up their with BRisbane gettin alot of quality players back, but I think if we play like we did in the second half last night, which we see glimpses of most of our wins we can win. Problem is, we only ever see glimpses, not 80 minutes of class like they have the ability to do.

What I thought was most impressive about last night was that Souths skipped to a 12-nil lead and several things almost came off, but not quite, and the guys still didn't panic (which was a common thing last year and early this year). They kept working away until they got that first try. Once that happened you just got the feeling they were going to go on with it.

I don't expect us to beat Brisbane next week ( do we remember how to play in the daytime?) but as long as we keep trying I'll be satisfied. And who knows: a couple of lucky breaks and we may just roll them

I dont think time of day will be a factor. If we turn up we are a great chance, if we dont we will get slaughtered. I dont think we have really turned up this year and shown our true potential through a full game, lets hope back to back wins recently is the turning point in our season.

Angry that article in the mail wasn't a positive point on those players returning the story by Greg Davis said "Broncos are likely to field injured trio......" and the way they were reporting late last week with Lockyer I wouldn't have expected him back for our game but certainly Berrigan will be available and hopefully the Broncs will give Webke another week to fully recover. Anyway it's our one and only game of the season to watch live so bring it on.

We aint turned up for the past two weeks. Last night was ordinary but a great 2nd half. I reckon brisbane might eat us alive, but then again we have been playing alright when we are away from home.
Canberra belted manly last night but it was even up till half time.
Penrith, i dunno, home game on a sunday, pretty scary.

Toss a coin???

I honestly think we won't match it with Brisbane next weekend. We don't have the intensity for the full 80 minutes and still seem to have moments where there are far too many dropped balls.

The positive points are that the boys are confident and we have shown we can now put plenty of points on the board.

I would love to see us win, and am confident we will put up a good fight, but I'm not sure if we can walk away with the win next weekend.

But I would love to see the Sharkies prove me wrong
