Imagine going back to 1908, and showing Dally M this report.

I think he would be in disbelief that his change from kickby would result in such revenues, employment (both players and support staff) and participation.

Bodes well for the future.

i think he'd be in more disbelief looking at the mystical computer / tablet that you are showing him the report on..

"moving print & pictures? colour photographs? what is this? sorcery?"

"and why are they playing in townsville? it would take cobb & co at least 3 weeks to make it up there"

Wish they put in as much effort into promoting the game as they do in the Annual Report,

$12M loss last year, but a $52M profit over 3 years... is amazing...

Has any sports body in Aus history netted $53M in 3 years ?

CBA makes $53 M in less than a week, but for a sport not bad

Good to see you finally coming around to your senses.

See, we don't actually need a Perth team for Rugby League to be successful.

India touring and a WC would have boosted those figures, but still cricket is flying in the country ATM.

no opposition helps as well.

They have only just started trying to get into schools and do programs, like the afl has been doing for almost a decade and the nrl probably just as long.

Any idea what it is in non wc years? Doubt it was any where near that with windies and nz.

It varies based on the competition but cricket australia is absurdly rich. Remember they have huge tv deals with india and other overseas markets (but mostly india) before it even gets to what they can get out of nine and ten.

They also take in a huge chunk of global revenue. Not as much as india but more than everyone else (same as the ecb)

Cricket australia has been a bit of a sleeping giant but the over recent years they have made a lot of good decisions. Elite Australian cricketers are on a pretty good wicket when it comes to money. Smith and Warner are both making over 3 million a year and that is only going to increase.
