The NRL Grand Final

I know there's a million and one threads in the NRL section, but did anyone else have some money on Melbourne? I went out to the betting auditorium at Randwick yesterday, and you couldn't spit without hitting an old codger whinging about the refereeing and spouting conspiracy theories. One bloke said he'd never bet on the NRL for as long as he lived. Wasn't much of a threat considering his age, but you get the idea.
One of the problems I have with the NRL is they seem to be promoting it as a betting medium, by Channel Nine mentioning Sportstab odds, lines etc., but they have some of the most crapulent refereeing I've seen. They need to sort they're sh*t out, otherwise punters are going to be saying all sorts of things about the integrity of match officials etc. because of the perception that no official can be that bad without trying. Fin.

League doesnt exist for the purpose of betting. Horse racing basically does.
I bet on league every week (as well as many other sports) and you have to take the good wih the bad.
I am sure you have won $$$$$$$$$ as a result of a poor refereeing display.

Of course I have SAAB. And I don't mind that to be honest:shock: . But I've got all sorts of conspiracy theories running through my head at the moment. Something stinks in Denmark!! And if I don't post again you know what they've done! I'm starting to think it's the fecking WWE.

I can't bet on league — it's like baseball... too random and not enough value. AFL and football have been my big money spinners this year.

In other news... Can you believe the Tribet Draw (either side by <15.5) was paying $2.55 at the TAB for a game between Swans and Eagles?
I happily took them on, and the most comfortable $125 I've ever won.

I bet on league quite often - and there really is value at times, particularly with multis on occassions, don't tend to touch the MOM or FTS/LTS.

Apparently my local TAB had a whole heap of money laid on for the Storm, but I just chucked $200 (my biggest ever one-off bet) on the Broncos outright at $2.10. I was feeling confident!

*I actually had the slip all filled out for the $200 to go on Brisbane 1-12, but wasn't game enough to pick the margin for such a big game... d'oh*
