Saw Cancer Bats, Bring me the Horizon and Bullet for my Valentine last week in Adelaide. Awesome gig.
Cancer Bats - spent all but 3 of their songs outside lining up to get in. Once i got in they had some great energy going on. Sabotage sounded mad, but Hail Destroyer was brilliant, great song and they went nuts. They played another show later that night too the crazy bastards.
BMTH - came on and played their new single which the crowd really got into. The sound wasn't as good as it could be and some of it sounded a bit messy. A bit of a homecoming to Adelaide for former I Killed The Prom Queen guitarist Jona Weinhoffen and he really seemed to be enjoying himeslef up there. An older couple upstairs watching must have been his parents. Track highlights were Diamonds aren't forever, The comedown and Chelsea smile. An older track I didn't was dam good too. To finish the show weinhoffen climbed up the balcony to play up there, was pretty mad. Overall i'd give them 7.5/10.
BFMV - hit the stage with the opening track off their new album "the betrayal" was huge. Their large sound tight musicianship put the way above the rest. Busted out tracks (not necessarily in order) - fever, alone, four words (to choke upon), all these things i hate (revolve around me), scream aim fire, waking the demon, among others. Had the crowd highly involved and reminded me how many good songs they have. A greaet set - 9.5/10
