Maika offered plenty of bad, to go with the good - but he scored 20 tries in his debut season.

That's insane.

He also scored tries at a ridiculous pace.

I'll forever cherish the big unit's contribution to the Eels.

17 tries in 12 games during this disaster of a season. Nobody else in the NRL comes close in 2024.

Exciting isn't a word I'd use often when describing Maika. He was a slug, but such a strong finisher within 10m and scored a lot of tries. An absolute plodder returning the ball though and dreadful in defence. Zero effort and the lateral movement of a drunk giraffe.

17 tries in 12 games. Not too shabby at all. We'll see if JAC can keep away from the nose candy and come close to that.
