The Opposite of Flat Track Bullies

This current Tigers team is the opposite of flat track bullies. They can only beat the best teams in the comp. It's very strange.

Can anyone remember another team like that? I can't. Plenty of teams get the odd upset against much more fancied opponents but I can't remember a team who beat the top 4 teams, yet didn't make the finals.

We’ve done it fairly regularly

In 2014 &15 we were garbage yet beat both Grand Finalists both years. In fact I believe we were the only team to do that both years.

Giant killers. Showed against the Dogs though it takes a bit out of them and fair enough. I'd be proud if I was a Tigpie, they've done pretty good.

Funnily enough, we used to do it too under Ivan. Used to beat the Storm with regularity, over there and in finals in 2008/11. in 2008, we lost to the 14th placed twice Bunnies, including at home when they were 1-10 and dead last. Think they paid odds of about $20 H2H that game. Also that year, lost to the 15th placed Cows, and the 13th placed Titans. I'm sure there's more instances from around that time.

Hey that 2008 cows teams was special

No shame in losing to a team that contained the wolf brother and Anthony Watts

Wasn’t $20 but it was huge. I think they gave out a line of 20.5.

Sandow’s first game.

Titans beat most of the top teams last year except Brisbane. Now they are back to their rightful place.

Warriors in their early days were like this too

OK I guess it's not very unusual then haha.

The Warriors and Tigers are perennially inconsistent, but I don't recall them having seasons where they beat many of the best teams. The old memory makes it hard to remember each season exactly though.

Yep, remember it well - I was there. Sandow kicked the field goal to ice the game. Awful, awful performance. Much like this afternoon (except this year we don't beat the front runners)

Saints in ‘89 performed well against the top sides bar the raiders.

They were crap against the rest.
