the nrl also believe in saturation of the sydney market and combating afl in western sydney as a key strategy. the eels are critical to that. we will be going nowhere under nrl administration or not.

Exactly, cull the western sydney teams and you'd lose existing supporters, not to mention the friends/children of these supporters who are just being introduced to the game. So you would think it would be common sense to keep the Eels in.

But you'd be stunned how many can't see that. Let's not forget what happened a decade ago. I personally don't want any part of my club under NRL control.

Ok I've moved on from Stuart, I don't blame anyone but him for the decision and happy to see the back of him, he obviously doesn't want be here which is perfectly find by me so Au revoir my friend..

I now want to see what the 5 man board are made off as they face the biggest challenge in the clubs history and fill these massive holes

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we had to add to the list however As holes are filled I will tick them off as tasks completed..

In the meantime I see this as a thread to closely monitor all situations as they come to hand.

Head Coach - plenty of names thrown up no closer to making a decision

Assistant coaches - will be appointed upon head coach announced

NYC coach - as above I assume

CEO footy club - rumoured to be announced shortly

CEO leagues club - see above

Major sponsor - according to sharp things are going well in that department but no announcements yet

2 remaining board members - I did say 3 last week, obviously I failed match at school... No news there!

Lets touch base in another week shall we?

John is an experienced sports administrator with an extensive background in the club industry, sports and venue management. He was Chief Executive of the Australian and NSW Rugby League and General Manager of Venues and Precincts for the Sydney Olympic Games. He was a founding member of MI Associates and was a consultant for the 2004 Athens Olympics, 2006 Asian Games and 2007 Pan American Games.
