Whispers that new CEO will be announced tomorrow

Which CEO, and will he be responsible for the NRL team or just extraneous shit associated with the club?

Do you know how many layers of management the board intends to place between itself and the coach?

Hill at least has a rugby league background, and for what it's worth, is an Eels man.

The fact that Fitzy likes him shouldn't exclude him from the job.

If Quayle was to become involved with Eels wouldn't he be better suited to a seat on the board as opposed to CEO? I reckon he would have more opportunity to influence positive change at board level.

Looks as though there's a number of quality candidates for the CEO role as well.

When selecting the next coach I want to see an appointment of a coach that wants to work with what we currently have and adapt his style to suit instead of complaining and making it public he doesn't rate the team. I want a coach that can create a game plan that gets the most out of what we have and can recruit player we need in the future.

That should be easy.

Jodeci stated this on the weekend IIRC.

NRL club in talks with state soccer boss

PARRAMATTA Eels have held informal talks with Football Federation Tasmania chief executive John Boulous for a role at the club.

The NRL club was rumoured to have offered Boulous a second-in-charge executive role, with the news breaking in Sydney on Friday night that he had accepted the position.
The former powerhouse Sydney club has endured bleak times recently, finishing with the NRL wooden spoon for the past two years and is without a coach after Ricky Stuart quit after just one season to coach the Canberra Raiders next year.
Boulous yesterday said no role at the Eels had been formally offered.
"My name's been associated with the role. I've got nothing to consider, I'm committed here at the moment. I've got no job offer on the table," he said.
"I know my name's been thrown up around some of the Sydney media for a position there," he said.
Boulous confirmed he had discussions with the club and would consider an offer if it came about.
He said he was committed to Tasmania and making sure "Victory Week" runs smoothly. Melbourne Victory arrives in Hobart tomorrow for Sunday's double-header against Tasmania and the Western Sydney Wanderers.
