The Patch. Your thoughts?

Hiya guys - for those who don't know me, I was the assistant producer of Rugby League. Part of that responsibility was ensuring that the recent patch got out ok and it is in that capacity that I post here today.

What I would like to know is: -

• how are you finding the patch?
• Have any of the issues addressed by the patch reared their ugly heads again?
• Have you noticed any additional issues, perhaps caused by the patch, since installing it?

I have the PC version and I had about 8 crashes in the first month I had the game but I haven't had any since the patch.
I like that the sinbin/interchange loophole has been closed.
That is pretty much all I have noticed.

I used to have crashes too, but havent had any since installing the patch

strangely though I have noticed more forward passes and offsides though this could be coincidental :?

Occasionally patches on the field turn a dark colour but this doesnt affect gameplay

the ref still shits me though

I'm not much help here because I still get a million crashes but that is 100% due to the fact that I edit the game and wreck it . But on the other computer, I have not noticed a problem. Very pleased.

the patch works well for its purpose, but would there be anychance of a patch that fixes the acuracy of the hitup stats and such.

one thing ive noticed is that ive got a radeon 7000 pro and when i play games with 3d shots the screen gets garbled after a while, though im pretty sure its a monitor problem it didnt use 2 happen that much with RL but after i installed the patch it happens more often do u know why??

but thats not a game problem so it doesnt count i guess....

No problems with the patch , but then again I didn't suffer from any of the listed issues in the first place . Would be very grateful for a gameplay patch

It hasnt made a difference for me as I never had the game crash, I was dissapointed really as I was hopin a patch would at least improve something for my game but instead all it did was help a few people who seem to have a problem with their computer, not their game.

i think the patch fixed slight gameplay stuff like the frequency of the ai kicking the ball in2 touch from the kickoff and the frequency of head highs (i think) but i dunno.......

It doesn't change anything with gameplay. No coding was changed for those strings.

whenever i get a hatrick vossy says "and he gets the double" and whenever i get 4 tries he says "and theres his hatrick"

all that would need 2 be updated for that would be the notepad file wouldnt it??

That always did that for me even before the patch.

I had a game freeze today. It happened straight after I kicked a kickoff out on the full and the camera view followed the ball, and then turned around and then locked on the brown running track behind thr ingoal at ANZ stadium.
The menu was still accessible, so I restarted the game, rather than having to shut down the game though, which was good.

Happened again tonight - after I kicked out on the full, the game froze..with 13 seconds to go in a 30 minute match :evil:
