Anyone else been to see this yet? Brutal Aussie western set in the 1880s, awesome performances from the entire cast and one of the best examples of the genre (and best Australian films full stop) that I've ever seen. No romanticinsing of the bushranger era here, but a ripping good yard none the less.

I saw a review on channel nine's Sunday a while back and it looked great; I was amazed that it was an Australian film. What confuses me though is that it doesn't have Brian Brown in it...

Cave wrote the screenplay and co-wrote the musical socre with Warren Ellis. The film really deserves to be judged on it's own merits though independent of Cave's involvement, as while the screenplay is good so is pretty much every other aspect of the film. (and I say that as a Cave fan).
