The Ramien Issue

Seems those right side plays/structures keep skipping him...short ball Nikora, tip on to Katoa via Kennedy.. definitely need to bring him into the game more and might need adjustments to the attacking structures which might not happen this year. Dugan also being kept out of games by similar issues on the left, only exaggerated by Graham getting so much ball. In the post-season review!

I agree with this. Only game where he really cut loose was the first game against the Cows and I think that was Moylan's comeback game when he was setting him up all the time.

Great point Mr. T
In Jesse's first season in 1sts with us he used to make very incisive runs
Who was his inside man that season?
Thats right, Moyza.

This is actually a real issue, SJ not gelling with Noodles in attack, I will say their defence, and Nikoras, has picked up a bit.
So basically the opposition know that SJ's plays are, kicks for the wingers and a pass to a hard running Nikora, they dont have to worry about Jesse as he is only getting used as a battering ram, never part of an attacking raid.

I think this has been mentioned before.

One of the problems is that SJ fought hard for Nikora to get picked in FG...

BUT - Ramien’s signature move is very similar to Nikora’s - a hard running angle back towards the middle which is best exploited with a short ball...

So - Bomber needs to work out how to use Ramien. I honestly think Ramien works better with Ronaldo. He needs to stick to the outside line and use the flick pass to set Ronaldo up.

Big Sexy needs to go to the left wing, even if it does mean not getting the try scoring record.

Ramien wants early ball before the line whereas Johnson likes hole runners at the line. IMO Ramien has been fairly underwhelming. Some good games but no real consistency.
