Stuff from their first album ... 2 weeks after Kurdt did what he believed everyone would want him to do

.God i miss him. Dave Didnt want to mourn, but with this new album he did himself(he played every instrument on the CD release), he showed how truly talented he was. But you could tell he was still in Nirvana mode. An Awesome album

, especially when he approved the band members ... easily the Foo's best BY FAR !!

The last 2 Foo Fighters albums have been pretty average (bar the accoustic disc on In Your Honor) but the last album is definetly a return to form IMO.

I still think Dave was the one that actually shot that spastic smackie, good form too cos the foos sh*t all over nirvana.

Foos don't touch Nirvana as their past three albums prove.

It is interesting that the first Foo Fighters jams were just Nirvana with Kurt and Dave swapping over.

I always found them highly overrated. They are like my mum's idea of "alternative rock". I'll stick to soundgarden and nirvana thanks...

First Foos album is much better than anything they have released since...

Thats actually what i was trying to say. Amazing how alcohol dumbs you up huh :)

But still out of all the Foo's fans these days, i wonder how many have their first album. Theyve gone the same way as the Chili Peppers imo, playing suckier music for a wider audience. But hey, good luck to them both, but they aint what they used to be.

This was the Chilis in 1992 ... you wont see sh!t like this anymore :(

I rest my case.

The Foos first 2 albums were awesome and they have been in a slow decline ever since. They are still better than 99% of the music out there ATM.

My thoughts exactly. "The Colour And The Shape" is my favourite, and even "There's Nothing Left To Lose" has some killer stuff - but has two of their weakest songs, which were incidentially released as singles - Learn To Fly and Next Year. They would be the only two tracks I skip across all 6 albums they have - can't stand either of them.

"One By One" onwards, I have detected a slide. But I'll still listen to them all regularly.

My fiance will not hear a bad word said against them though - loves them to death!

Colour and the Shape ftw.

I borrowed it off someone in the late 1990's and didn't return it until 2004...
