$50 aint small on a no chance. You just through $50 in the bin.. should of saved it for the Top 8
Time will tell, we are spoon favourites with no halfback according to the markets so happy to grab at $81.
$50 is 3 beers so it’s nothing.
I will be in on the top 8 markets when open.
Injuries will play a huge role in the winner and if we get the couple of signings I expect we will, we will surprise a lot next year.
I am an optimist of course.

Went to see the Mariners last night

The most boring game ever. Watching 22 men kicking the ball to each other. No intensity, bugger all shots on goal, no nothing!

The game just reinforced how much I missed the NRL and the Dragons.

Had a bit to do today - only just logged in - 5 pages in the rumour thread on a bloody Sunday the 03rd November.

I'm obviously not the only one missing NRL :D & our beloved Dragons.

Unfortunately at this time I don’t see carrying both Couchmans. Too much alike (no pun intended) I would have Sele (if fit) and also I would be carrying a Fifita or Loko Tonga as a different body

I cant tell that big a difference between Toby & Ryan.. afaik it was just dumb luck with injury which one got the earlier experience.. similar numbers in NSW Cup, though Ryan has spent a lot less time in the middle.

I do agree that twins = twice the risk, because if 1 doesnt come off.. then both of them probably failed.. im not totally opposed to just keeping 1.. but they are still young and they prolly live together.. cant see the harm in giving them 1 more contract.. can always offload 1 later if needed.. but hopefully they both come good.

But it does make the bench very hard to balance, unless they both end up just being top class (JDB like), and 1 starts at prop, with his brother off the bench..... or run 1 at 13 (I like that idea this year perhaps).. but we have quite a few young 13s in our squad being groomed, with Latu and Stewart so to come in the future.

God this place is amazing at times.

All of a sudden there are questions about the Couchman twins and whether we keep 1 or 2 as somehow they are so similar.

FMD Ryan has hardly seen any game time so when that happens then some conversation might be needed but at the moment both need to be on our books and developed properly.

I remember only too well the same questions being about the Wynn brothers and how both ended up extremely good players, internationals in fact and instead of having both we ended up with Graham after missing out on Peter who was probably the better of the two.

Re other players in the system coming through they need to bide their time and follow the Couchman's through and get game time at the expense of the planks and ageing players like Lawrie, RFM, BMM, Eisenhuth.

I meant carrying both of them in our 17. Definitely singing them both long term as I do think they will be great players! Have a no fear attitude for such young blokes

Ha ha, yes. They haven't even finished growing. I always think of the Morris twins. They both were rangey at first but ended up huge. The Couchmen will be the same. Big, mobile, with strong defence, an offload, and big motors. That does not come along every day.

‘The Couchmen’ only turned 21 in September this year. They have made plenty of their opportunities to date and should be lock ins for our pack for the next 5-10 years. Local lads with huge potential
