Only two weeks away from November and things are starting to heat up….
have a feeling this will be a big window for us.

Metclaf would be 100% huge. I agree he should be our main target, but no point us fans getting excited. All we know is that he may want to return to sydney. Then we may be an option since we have cash. anderson may be a draw. But all we can hope is the club pursues him as best we can.

to be clear. He is 26, prime age to recruit a proven half. He has shown he thrives on pressure. He is from the shire I believe( our territory basically), but sharks have 2 good halves they have invested in So aren’t an option. Dogs, tigers etc all have halves and or little cash. We are a chance 🤞

100% agree , for me Metcalf , Pezet or Strange would have been my picks ...... You can build a team around these guys , they can attack and have the vision to play whats in front of them .........

As soon as Anderson signed and starting talking 2027 this kind of thing was inevitable as much as we dont like to accept it. Another ineffective acquisition whose heart i'm sure is in the right place....pretty much like the coach himself.

We've known we've needed a gun prop since courting AFB two off seasons ago. We've known we've needed a match winning half since Hunt since started imploding every time a season was on the line. Now our marquee fullback, gallant as he may have been, has been shown up for the slow, broken player that Ryles knew he was - steely competitor aside.

Sami would have been a nice loosener to get right kind of players flowing our way. A great start at least but not even our most crucial positional need... And yet here we are still stuck with Ilias, Sloan and Lawrie without even a prayer to avoid a spoon or something very close next year. Still no half, no prop and no decent x factor out wide or back. Yikes.

Our biggest threat is the Warriors extending him before November 1 which is more likely then not just our luck.
Dont be surprised if Perth enters the race either.

The club to fear in regards to signing Luke Metcalf is Parra. They have lost Dylan Brown and a stack of cash with all these other departures. They will be in prime position for Metcalfe as they have Moses as his partner and every young kid would like to play with Moses as a halves partner. They will be a huge player in the November 1 market. If it comes to Saints or Parra in any player Saints go for I am afraid they will lose out. Geez I am really starting to hate Parra....Since the Ryles and Lomax rubbish they have become one of my hated teams now.

I can tell you now, we won't be going anywhere near Metcalf...

if reports are correct, we're on the verge of signing Jonah Pezet to work with Moses for the next 2 or 3 seasons and then we'll be unearthing Lorenzo Talaitana who's arguably the hottest prospect under 20 years in the game.

Metcalf isn't on the radar.

Yes- although karma may be about to pay a visit- Lomax has shown that his loyalty is a bought commodity with NRL 360 and I wonder if his relationship with Ryles and his team mates will be the same from now on.

However, you are right- Parra are in a good place moving forward apart from being not replacing Brown with someone at his level and I would back them over the Dragons if it turned into which team Metcalf feels is more likely to make the finals in the next few years. Only thing- he won't be the dominant half back he was at the Warriors- can he live with playing five eight and second fiddle to Moses?

Parra are favourites for Pezet due to him, Anasta and Ryles being mates. They won't sign Pezet and Metcalfe.

It's only sport and yet it's year after year of failure off the field...and that directly translates into losses.
By the looks of it, we are still playing a long game but then why are we signing players like Josh Kerr?

Junior Amone is back looking for a gig...how long before we do something stupid like that because we have cash to spend and no one who wants it.

It is an embarrassment and Flanagan is running out of excuses.

If Bula is available, I'd be having a shot.

A few years ago, thought he was progressing the same as Slone however, he's progressed ahead of him.

A big no to Amone, after his confrontation with his X? in the Gong. Seems to have l learnt nothing after dodging a huge bullet.
