EXCLUSIVE: STOOGES COMING TO AUSTRALIA
No official announcement yet but the Stooges are doing the Big Day Out festivals in Australia in January, 2006. Our source is impeccable and you heard it here first. Proof that there is a god.

And you'd want to get onto this at the same time.

Man...both the Stooges and Pixies would be great. Apparently Lees & West were still trying to make Pixies happen as at last week but if The Stooges are confirmed, I'm guessing Pixies have knocked them back.

Interesting move by Lees & West though - trying to mature a festival which has been either incredibly immature or a boganfest (or both at once). The younger festival goers will bitch and whinge about a band they haven't heard of. Franz Ferdinand will keep the bogans happy though :)
